On my brother's 13th birthday, he asked for a sashimi cake. I decided to make him a sashimi cupcake instead, just in case, y'know, anything goes wrong.
He specifically asked for wasabi on top his cake too. This boy can dunk his sashimi or sushi in soy-wasabi sauce and eat them just like that.
So this is a chocolate avocado base cupcake, with wasabi and avocado paste frosting, clothed in a sea of ebi fish roe and topped off with a slice of salmon sashimi. Fish roe and salmon are his two favourite types of sushi, apart from the unagi.
